Originating from Manchester, I moved to Godstone in Surrey in 1999 which is where my wife and I bought our first home. Then in 2003, we moved to Deepcut to be closer to family.
Very soon, I became involved in the community. I Chaired and co-founded the Dettingen Residents Committee that successfully removed ineffective managing agent Peverel after a three-year battle, putting the management of Dettingen Park in control of residents.
I also founded the Surrey Heath Community First Responders, volunteers who respond to 999 emergencies ahead of an ambulance. As a first responder myself I attended hundreds of emergencies in his community that included resuscitations, heart attacks and strokes. I even delivered a baby.
My involvement with local politics started when I created the Surrey Residents Network, which empowered residents across the county by giving them a platform to launch community interest campaigns.
In 2011, I was elected to Surrey Heath Borough Council representing Mytchett & Deepcut, and in 2017 I was elected to Surrey County Council, where I represent Mytchett, Deepcut & Frimley Green.
In 2023, I decided to not stand for re-election at Surrey Heath Borough Council in order to concentrate on my duties at Surrey County Council. In September 2023 I was appointed as Deputy Cabinet Member to the Leader of the Council.
Professionally, I am a digital content marketing consultant and work with companies, organisations, and high-profile individuals to help them produce digital content for their social media platforms.
