Aspiration and hard work are two values that are very close to my heart. In the seventeen years since I first moved to the United Kingdom, I have had the incredible opportunity of witnessing for myself just how far these values can take you, particularly when you become part of a strong and compassionate community such as Horley.
Horley and its people are the place that I take immense pride in calling my home. I have built a life here with my family and I have made so many lifelong friendships in this town. For me, giving something back to Horley has never been an option, but a pleasure and an obligation.
After my first election to Reigate & Banstead Borough Council in 2019, I worked hard to ensure that my fellow residents knew they had a local champion that they could rely on. This included talking with officers to address residents' concerns about the frequency of road sweeping operations and the maintenance of public green spaces.
I have supported the Town Centre Vitality Fund and plans to redevelop our Town Centre, particularly to fix the subway running under the railway line between Station Road and the High Street.
